In order to accelerate the smart aged-care standardization construction, raise the elderly care service level, under the support of Jiangsu Provincial Civil Affairs Department and Jiangsu Provincial Market Supervision and Administration Authority, Wuxi Civil Affairs Bureau, cooperated with Chinese Academy of Sciences and other science research institutes and technology enterprises have formulated the first Chinese provincial standard of smart aged-care construction, Regulations on Smart Aged-care Construction(hereinafter referred to as Regulations). The Regulations has been issued by Jiangsu Provincial Market Supervision and Administration Authority. It will be put into effect on 30, March.

The Regulations can be adopted in civil affairs department, overall plan and management and evaluation of smart aged-care construction in nursing homes. The Regulations also stipulates the conceptual model, system architecture, technical requirements, frame function, etc, specifies the hardware, software and the third party supervision standards. It also makes specific requests in terms of perception of internet of things, internet communication, computing and storage, data merge, intelligence appliance, safety security, etc. Promoting the usage of techniques like sensing devices to do a 24-hour real time inspection on position, state, duration, frequency of home based elderly service, as a result achieving quality feedback, real time sharing of evaluation and information. The Regulations fills the blank of specific regulations and leads the regulatory and scientific development of domestic smart age-care construction, puts forwards an operational and quantifiable job specification.
