The Age-friendly Western Australia Workshop was developed by the Age-friendly Interagency Group (AFIG) in collaboration with the Department of Local Government and Communities and Dr. Jane Barratt, Secretary General of the International Federation on Ageing.

The workshop was held on 28 June 2016 and was facilitated by Dr. Jane Barratt.

A total of 87 people registered for the workshop, representing 58 organizations.

The aim was to highlight innovative and collaborative practices that are achieving real outcomes, as well as to provide information about the age-friendly communities approach.

Attendees heard from a range of speakers about collaborative models being used in Western Australia, nationally and internationally to achieve community outcomes.

The presentations were recorded and are available to local governments and other organizations working, on or interested in, developing collaborative approaches to further the age-friendly agenda in their local communities.
