China Daily on May3 reports that the opening ceremony of the 5^th China InternationalSenior Services Expo and “The 5th China International Senior ServicesDevelopment Forum” are held in Beijing National Convention Center in themorning on May 3, 2016. More than 200 government departments, senior serviceinstitutions and brand enterprises in the field of senior service from 10countries and regions and our country attend the exhibition.

In the address, thevice-minister of the Ministry of Civil Affairs, Xiaobing Gao, points thatmulti-level senior service system based on living, relying on community, withthe institution as supplement and combination of medical-nursing has beenformed preliminarily in China at present. The senior service industry not onlyplays important role on the aspect of responding to aging of population,safeguarding and improving people's livelihood, but also increasingly becomesimportant power of expanding internal demand, increasing employment, promotingdevelopment of service industry and driving economic transformation andupgrading.

In the early twentyyears in this century, China will comprehensively construct higher level ofmoderately prosperous society benefiting all the citizens. It is an urgent taskfor comprehensively constructing moderately prosperous society to activelyrespond to aging of population, quicken development of senior service industryand continuously meet senior service demand for continuous increase of senior.Chinese government will vigorously promote senior service supply-sidestructural reformation, comprehensively open the senior service market,unswervingly construct the senior service system adaptive to population agingprocess, consistent with comprehensively construction of moderately prosperoussociety and coordinating with new normality of economic development,continuously enhance contribution rate to the national economy and socialdevelopment, improve the healthy senior care level of the aged and ensure theaged share the achievement of reformation and development with the principle ofstrengthening guidance, supervision and underpinning, wide participation andcompetition of social subject, market locating resources and family andindividual playing basic role and the development concept of practicinginnovation, coordination, green, open and sharing. She also hopes to learn anduse experience in practice of various countries and various regions in theworld on development of senior service through the platform of ChinaInternational Senior Services Expo, so as to learn from others' strong pointsto offset her weakness, make reformation and innovation and compose new chapteron development of China senior service development.

In the address,Beijing deputy mayor, Ning Wang, introduces that Beijing municipal governmentcarefully implements the development concept of innovation, coordination,green, open and sharing and explores the working idea of constructing Chinaspecial senior service system Beijing mode during period of “thirteenth five-year”plan. He considers this session of Expo is one grand meeting with creativeconcept, full content and more achievement, and is one grand occasion inBeijing for promoting development of senior service. Finally, he sincerelywishes that the 5^th China International Senior Services Expoachieves complete success. In the address, the minister of InternationalRelations Department in international federation of aging (IFA), Gregory RossShaw, highly evaluates that the influence of China International SeniorServices Expo on the global is enhancing year by year and attracts a largenumber of domestic and overseas sponsors and exhibitors. And it is quicklybecoming one grand meeting that cannot be missed by global senior serviceindustry.

In the 5^thChina International Senior Services Development Forum, with the theme of “Condensingintellectual cohesion, innovative service, sharing among people and harmoniousdevelopment”, domestic and overseas governmental departments and specialistsand scholars are invited to actively discuss development trend of China seniorservice industry and national policy support in the macro perspective; How toexplore the route of driving development of senior service by referring tointernational experience.

Onthe Expo and Forum, senior service institution standard construction and trialunit from national provinces (cities), provincial and municipal association,brand enterprises and culture education institutions gather together toactively explore the route of creating senior service brand with Chinesecharacteristics and promoting improvement of industrial service quality.
